Cracked

Content policy

A person at Cracked checks every ad before a shop can buy it or anyone is paid to post it.

How the check works

A creator sends an ad for a check. A person at Cracked watches the whole ad, opens the source behind each line about why it was made that way, and approves it or asks for changes. A changed ad is a new version and is checked again.

Only an approved version reaches a shop or earns view pay.

When a creator posts one of Cracked's ads for pay, a person checks the post again at day 10, before anything is paid.

What an ad can't do

Use a real person's face, voice or name without their yes, or copy a real person with AI.

Use music, footage, photos or words that aren't yours, the shop's, or licensed for it.

Say something false about a shop or its products, or show a review that wasn't written.

Show hate, harassment, violence or sexual content.

Sell something illegal, or something a platform's ad rules ban.

Pretend to be the shop, or say a shop made or approved an ad it didn't.

Being honest about it

Ads on Cracked are made with AI tools.

Any line on a shop's page saying why its ad was made a certain way rests on the shop's own reviews or photos, and links to them.

A post Cracked pays for carries the platform's paid-partnership or ad label.

Asking for something to come down

Email hello@cracked.app with the link to the ad or post, what's wrong with it, and how it's yours: your shop, your photo, your song, your face.

A person reads every request. If the ad isn't fair to use, we stop paying for its posts, ask its creator to delete them, and stop accounts that keep doing it.

A shop's page with its ad opens only with that shop's own private link.
